After the success of the first Reading Invasion, we are going to keep this Reading train a’rolling.
Next Invasion date: Monday August 20th.
Place and time will, of course, be decided soon. In the meantime, please help us spread the word!
So this is great news! Alicia, from Talking Leaves on Elmwood, has agreed to run a story hour for the little kiddies (or the big ones who still like to be read to). She’ll have some children’s books there and will be reading stories during the event.
There will be an area under a tree on the west side of Elmwood set up for the group, so please bring your kids by.

The location of the 1st Buffalo Reading Invasion on Monday July 23rd has been announced!!
The Invasion will take place from 7pm – 8pm along Bidwell Parkway, in both directions off of Elmwood (by Cafe Aroma/Talking Leaving/Zetti’s Pizza)
Bring a chair or a blanket (and your book, of course), and enjoy reading under the trees of Bidwell!
The idea is simple: People bring something to read and “invade” a large public space. This isn’t a book club; just a time to come together, to enjoy the act of reading, and to remind our fellow Buffalonians (especially the next generation), that reading is still a vitally important part of people’s lives.
So bring a book and bring a friend, and join us for an hour of reading, relaxing, and gathering in our most beautiful public spaces.
